Südtirols Süden: where Alpine tradition meets Mediterranean charm

The branding project for Südtirols Süden tells the story of the dual soul of an extraordinary land that stretches along the picturesque Wine Road to the majestic Dolomites. Here, under a mild sun and among lush vineyards, Alpine tradition and Mediterranean warmth coexist in perfect harmony. This new tourist destination, born from the union of local realities, aims to promote the region on an international level.

Creating value through collaboration

In order to manage the complexity arising from the presence of multiple decision-makers, we adopted an approach based on tailor-made workshops involving the representatives of local associations. In these meetings, everyone had the opportunity to express their ideas and actively contribute to the definition of the strategy.
Thanks to this collaboration, we developed a brand identity that reflects the aspirations of the community and strengthens the sense of belonging to a shared vision.

A portal between two cultures

At the heart of Südtirols Süden’s visual identity is the "portal”, an element that goes beyond aesthetics to become a powerful symbol of the region's rich cultural and geographical heritage. Situated at the crossroads of German culture in the north and Italian culture in the south, Südtirols Süden serves as a metaphorical portal connecting traditions, languages, and stories.
We also created a custom font for the logo, accompanied by a vibrant colour palette to express the area’s diversity and vitality.

A unifying identity

Südtirols Süden’s visual identity extends across many touch points, creating a flexible, coherent and recognisable visual language. We defined clear and detailed guidelines and grid systems for materials such as posters, brochures, presentations, social media templates, flags and roll-ups to ensure consistent and professional communication. To ensure consistency in implementation and to facilitate the exchange of data between the various communication stakeholders, we developed a dedicated website to collect all assets and necessary information. We designed a custom set of vector icons, integrated into a font, to clearly represent the destination's services and offerings. Tailored to the client’s needs, they serve as a practical and versatile tool for printed communications.
